London Poem: Day 336

19 July

The curious turn, and
The blink of exploding stars
Blend in cold succession in the
Steady flow of what the night means.
To miss the day, and then, forgo the
Night, eats at bashful sinners
Who find secret pleasures in what
Happens beneath darkness.
Here is the setting sun, and
The climbing stars –
Don’t forget about me in the mingle.
