London Poem: Day 316

29 June

The dry spell has given
Way to the torrent
Splashing now underwater.
We must wait to see if the
Sunlight ever shows again,
Because in the days
Darkest hour, a bright,
Glowing sun seems furthest away.
Don’t capitulate to the winter
Weather, summer has just begun
And there is still time
To beat the rain.
