London Poem: Day 315

28 June

Filtering in and out
Are the visions of how
Life would suite you best,
But so thickly comes the truth
That dreams, at times,
Must stay as such.
You hold this life up
Waiting for a piece to align
Because after so long,
Satisfaction will undoubtedly
Come with just the one.
Everyone needs to know
They are not alone –
In the darkness love appears
Thin and your soul is delicate
Because it does no good to
Turn, and say:
Love me, because I’m alone.
