London Poem: Day 313

26 June

The world at rest is a
Sleeping giant, now seen
In hindsight.
All of the lovely words,
Soft glances and heart in
Between, is a small beast,
Only breathing shortly before
All of the sunny days fade,
And concern washes over.
To look back and see how
Easy it was causes the heart
To tremble, and a desire to
Go two steps back, to start
Over again.
