London Poem: Day 309

22 June

To be gracious, to allow
The world to curl under,
Like cross blossoming flowers,
Is a short step that is too
Difficult to find in the dark.
Acceptance means more than
The word implies:
Callous, thickly and justly
To let all that comes be taken –
We must know no other way,
Because in the earth’s endless
Twirl, there is non going back.
