London Poem: Day 307

20 June

Fortune settles into the siren,
Whose song bends,
Pitches quietly luring and eating.
To look into her eyes,
Wide, half-brimming –
Too soon,
It clutches,
Too easy to sing,
And let the words
Swallow you and drag the world
Into her eyes.
