London Poem: Day 285

29 May

The morbid tastes linger,
Inadvertently caught
Frozen in still frames.
Forced to feign the
Inevitable as though
It won’t happen in due time.
Laugh and smile to force
The fright into the
Unseen, but what is
Unseen still lives, and
Breathes with heavy, lunging
Breaths, waiting for
Their opportunity.
