London Poem: Day 201

6 March

We went on holiday,
Near the river,
To celebrate me
With fear and tales that
Shape the lives of people
We will never meet.
We call and respond,
Asking for more but,
Forgetting why we came and
Instead think of only:
We are here.
For a night, we are away,
Living another life together.
The night, folding into morning
Brings a life too seldom
Seen in a rough looping life.
