London Poem: Day 200

5 March

We become what is left
To bloom like silly
Roses that don’t know
It is still winter.
The sun comes and
The cold months are
Forgotten, dipping and turning,
While the elements twist
To tell us it isn’t supposed
To last, resilience in sprouting
Petals ensure that
Again we will laugh
At the determinism
The wild
Expects us to follow.
