London Poem: Day 184

17 February

It’s a long time now,
Half way –
The life once far away
Now spliced in two, and
Finds itself on the decline.
Before, who could have pictured
The pieces coming together,
Let alone coming apart?
But, as the future slips into
The strange fabric of the past,
New futures will be built
To help urge this circular
Path we’re on.
