London Poem: Day 169

2 February

Curiosity abounds,
Like strange men,
Standing shoulder to shoulder,
Watching over me.
It’s easy to lose yourself
With the high arching bodies
Intruding; their noses snugly
Pressed against choice and
Choice leading to decision,
But where to go seems
More complicated with these
Odd little eyes prying.
There is undoubtedly
Always someone watching,
And waiting, to mop up
Follies and, in turn,
Lay them out, end to end.
Wait a while longer,
And you’ll learn
That all will work out.
