London Poem: Day 164

28 January

Do you suggest we escape?
Shall we stretch ourselves beyond
Where we thought we might be,
To call and respond as yet
We still bend to the world?
Let us be as we may
To test ourselves against
The traumas breeding
From a jealous earth.
As you spin, so do I.
Following the sun that
Builds comfortably in you.
We wait to love,
And it too waits for us,
But it is up to the fearless
To push on through the
Bashful trepidation and let bloom
What so eagerly awaits.
