London Poem: Day 161

25 January

We bend by oceans gentle tumble,
Moving with the moon
And the stars deceitful glow.
I move alone,
Lost in the turning waves.
There is no sound
To aid missteps, but only
The glow of dead stars to
Push us forward.
Are you there too?
In the dark, I can’t see,
But there are no eyes,
Nothing. The waves crash over
And I know there is no one.
Am I wrong?
