London Poem: Day 134

29 December

To dip and shiver
Halfway between the sour
And the sweet forces
The night upside down.
The rain came in
Thudding against our face
Falling slowly to the sidewalk,
And our words too fell
As we feared opposing ends.
There is nothing that shook
Me more than to consider
A life without you,
And we slipped soundly into
The nook of such a path.
But, here we are,
Bashful and blushing,
Opting to fight against
Our nature.
