London Poem: Day 131

26 December

Age as we see it now
Comes crossing to claim
The cool hands of youth,
Sparkling memories that
Hardly used to be.
Where will we be in
Years to come?
You and I, in our own
Youth, watch age wash over
Quicker than the body
Can portray. We remain
Away and untold in
Our future, hoping
To never catch it.
