London Poem: Day 73

29 October

History blooms everyday,
Becoming something today
That yesterday was hardly a sound.
We leap over time to
Envelop the whole world
Lived before us.
What are we to make of a life
Existing before our tiny,
Insignificant breaths
First broke?
There we are,
Believing the world began
With us.
But, proof, bright and vibrant
Stings the heart
In hope to portray our
Place in a world that
Won’t wait for anyone.
