London Poem: Day 48

4 October

We never know what sits ahead;
The world, balancing on its axis, moves calmly,
Twirling lives into oblivion.
Such melodrama for the unknown.
To never know what steps to take
Delights my mind–
Building anxiety to great heights,
So we are always left guessing, and worrying.
There is no reason to fear what remains concealed by life’s veil,
We still must move,
And hope that what comes our way
Brings joy,
Holding despair at bay for just another day.
