London Poem: Day 36

22 September

We’ve become one through stress and fracture,
But nothing is ever as bad as it seems.
To possess– you and I –
Is to stand higher than collision,
So what does it matter to bare a few bruises?
We are and we will.
They are only soft tears,
And like the rain,
they too will dry
Through sun and wind.
We, you and I,
Will prevail.
