London Poem: Day 9

26 August

We speak in bells and chimes
Whole sounds wrapped in blissful worlds.
What is bliss,
But the soft acceptance of inevitable surrender?
Speech clouds the feelings held within,
As times slips through healthy
Beats between lofty melodies.
Why do we say, “we are,”
When we aren’t?
Everything is, and yet nothing is;
Calming stories glow,
To only find partial satisfaction.
