London Poem: Day 2

19 August

Cities never move–
Faces blend and become one.
As you sit, lost and unfamiliar,
The city ignores
Your subtle desire to become of it
Because without knowing
You do, eventually.
No attention is given
When nothing changes.
Days roll on, swimming steadily
In great oceans,
And still you wait for change.
What is not; What is and where
Are the questions you never ask.
When the skies opens up,
The little stars peek through
Quietly glimmering, and
It’s clear: they are the same.
The ones looking at you,
Wink at me, an ocean away.
